New Patient Information —– Manhattan, KS Chiropractor
Looking for a Manhattan KS chiropractor? At JointFit we want our patients to know exactly what to expect during their office visits, especially if it is your first time with us! If you have any questions about your visit to JointFit that are not listed on here, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at 785.320.6868 or contact us from the link at the top menu bar!
Our regular hours of business are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We often accommodate patients with conflicting work schedules and see patients during early morning hours during the week and Saturday hours by appointment. Please call in advance to schedule, rather than walk-in. Patients are offered the first available appointment time when calling to schedule, and sometimes appointments are available the same day.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR FIRST VISIT
The first visit consists of a thorough medical history and examination in the region of chief complaints, special orthopedic testing, joint and muscle function evaluation, and functional movement testing. In some cases, referral for appropriate diagnostic imaging or to another medical specialty provider may be necessary if clinically indicated. All results of examination and finding are explained during the first visit and your condition is fully explained. Patients are presented with both conservative treatment options available at our clinic and/or possible surgical options available at other clinics.
Every patient and condition is different, and treatments vary. Depending upon time and condition, treatment may be offered the same day. Our clinic offers a combination of manual therapy addressing muscle, joints, and soft tissues and physical rehabilitation exercises to correct “weakness” or “imbalances” that may have led to a given condition. Patients are expected to take an active role in recovery and may be asked to perform at home exercises to help achieve goals in treatment.
First visits range from 45 minutes to 60 minutes. Please bring copies or reports of previous imaging studies that were done if on a similar region of the body.
WHAT TO WEAR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT
It is best to wear comfortable clothes, such as sweat pants, shorts and short sleeved shirts for examination and therapy.
JointFit provides insurance billing for patients. We are “in-network” with the following insurance companies:
BlueCross Blue Shield
If your insurance company is not listed, it still may cover care in our office. Each individual insurance plan is different, and while we may be in-network providers with your insurance, you will be responsible for meeting your deductible and co-pay amounts. Also, some out-of-network benefits may be actually more beneficial than in-network benefits in some situations.
Co-pay or co-insurance amounts are expected to be paid at time of service. Insurance will be billed after the visit, and patients may be responsible for charges not covered by insurance.
JointFit is a CareCredit provider. We offer applications for CareCredit in office, and approval is done instantly. CareCredit is an interest free credit card that can be used to finance care that may cost over $300 and allow low monthly payments. Interest fees are applied by CareCredit if you fail to make your monthly payment.
CareCredit is great for uninsured patients that may need treatment for 3-6 weeks, such as with lumbar disc herniation for example. It’s also a convenient method of payment for individuals with a fixed income or small budget, or with high deductibles on their insurance plan. We want your visit to see a Manhattan KS chiropractor to be as easy and hassle free as possible and can answer any other questions regarding payment arrangements.
If you are interested in applying for CareCredit, please download the paper application, complete, and bring to our office. We will assist you with any questions you have. The approval is quick and easy.
