ABOUT JOINTFIT

CONTACT

NEVER BEEN TO JOINTFIT BEFORE?

At JointFit we want our patients to know what to expect during their office visits, especially if it is your first time with us! If you have any questions about your visit to JointFit that are not listed on here, please don't hesitate to give us a call at 785.320.6868!

SCHEDULING

Our regular hours of business are 8:15 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We often accommodate patients with conflicting work schedules and see patients during evening hours during the week and Saturday hours by appointment.

Please call in advance to schedule, rather than walk-in. Patients are offered the first available appointment time when calling to schedule, and sometimes appointments are available the same day.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR FIRST VISIT

The first visit consists of a thorough medical history and examination in the region of chief complaints, special orthopedic testing, joint and muscle function evaluation, and functional movement testing. In some cases, referral for appropriate diagnostic imaging or to another medical specialty provider may be necessary if clinically indicated.

All results of examination and finding are explained during the first visit and your condition is fully explained. Patients are presented with both conservative treatment options available at our clinic and/or possible surgical options available at other clinics. Average length of recovery times.

Every patient and condition is different, and treatments vary. Depending upon time and condition, treatment may be offered the same day. Our clinic offers a combination of manual therapy addressing muscle, joints, and soft tissues and physical rehabilitation exercises to correct foundational "weakness" or "imbalances" that may have led to a given condition. Patients are expected to take an active role in recovery and may be asked to perform at home exercises to help achieve goals in treatment.

First visits range from 45 minutes to 90 minutes. Please bring copies or reports of previous imaging studies that were done if on a similar region of the body.

WHAT TO WEAR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT

It is best to wear comfortable clothes, such as sweat pants, shorts and short sleeved shirts for examination and therapy.
