Seth is originally from Salina, KS. He attended Salina Central High School and eventually went on to play football at Kansas Wesleyan University, was voted as a team captain and received awards including Capital One Academic All-American in 2012. While at KWU he majored in Biomedical Chemistry and graduated in 2013.
After undergrad he attended the University of Western States in Portland, OR and will graduate from the DC program December 2016. While at UWS, he also earned a master’s degree in Sports Medicine and was an active member of the Rehab 2 Performance club on campus. At UWS, he spent time participating in the student government, lead the CrossFit club for the campus and attended National Chiropractic Legislative Conference to push for Chiropractic rights in Washington DC. Seth also took it upon myself to do as many continuing education classes as he could which allowed him to accumulate many treatment options and styles while in school. He also received his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification to better understand and treat performance based athletes.
His goals for patient care include reducing pain quickly and getting the patients moving and active as early as possible. “I strongly believe that quality of life is very important and movement seems to act as the best medicine. Keeping the patient active in their care as well as educated on conditions and treatment are priorities I have for practice. I take pride in staying current with research in physical and manual medicine and do my best to incorporate evidence based practice every day.”
Seth has always been interested in health and wellness as well as sports and performance. He enjoys playing pretty much any recreational sport, anything from flag football to squash. He does a mixture of Olympic weightlifting, CrossFit, and more traditional strength training for his workouts. He has had blast going to school in Oregon and really love the hikes in the Columbia river gorge. “I’m excited to come back to Kansas to be close to family and treat with a team of like-minded individuals!”
